How to get pi

Suppose A=1, B=1/sqrt(2), C=1/4, X=1. Then,
  1. Put A into Y
  2. Put (A + B)/2 into A
  3. Put sqrt(BY) into B
  4. Put C - X(A - Y)(A - Y) into C
  5. Put 2X into X
  6. Show (A + B)(A + B)/4C
  7. Return to 1

I've tried the method with "MacPerl".
